ParalegalCarrie graduated with Honours from Humber College’s Paralegal Studies Program and became licensed by the Law Society of Ontario in 2011. Carrie specializes in dealing with Small Claims Court matters but also practices in the area of Landlord and Tenant Board Tribunals along with other administrative tribunals. Carrie brings with her years of experience from her time as an In-House Paralegal and Law Clerk for some of the local counsel. Carrie is passionate about the law and is a strong advocate for her clients’ rights. Carrie has also been a CAN Advisor and CAN Coach with the Law Society of Ontario over the last two years. Carrie has also been a guest on a webcast with the Law Society of Ontario setting out what resources a new paralegal can access with CAN advisors and coaches. Carrie enjoys being able to share her knowledge and best practices with new and upcoming paralegals. Carrie resides in Owen Sound with her husband and enjoys catching up with her three very busy, grown children.
Miranda graduated from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario with her BA in Law and Justice with a minor in Sociology in 2014. During her last year at Laurentian, Miranda was a goaltender for the Laurentian inaugural women’s varsity hockey team. After she graduated from Laurentian, Miranda went on to obtain her paralegal diploma through CTS Canadian Career College in Barrie, Ontario. She graduated from CTS with Honours in June 2015. That September, she became
licensed with the Law Society of Ontario. In September 2015, Miranda began her career with one of the major firms in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario where most of her work focused on Employment Law, Municipal Law and some administrative tribunals. She moved to the Owen Sound area in May 2019 to continue her paralegal work and to join Carrie Bertrand Paralegal Services as an Associate Paralegal. She is very excited to begin practising in the Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant Board areas and to providing effective paralegal services to Owen Sound and the surrounding area.
